Terrified at opening your doll's head!?

Of course! I am!
I mean....I did paid a lot for Fridart!
Pullips don't come cheap!

So where did I find the courage to open up her head an deflop her obitsu body?
Easy~!
I practiced!
Before, I bought Fridart, I already had some practice for future use.....And hey, I did managed to use my new found skills! But back then I didn't know that I could mange to afford a Pullip.....
I thought I would end up buying a fake one..... (」゚ペ)」

Like the fake Blythe doll that I bought. When I first saw it, I thought it was a "chubby" Pullip doll.
To make sure, I researched the name Basaak Doll and found out that this doll was a fake clone of the Blythe dolls. (Yeah....I found out, about Pullip dolls first before there ancestor, the Blythe dolls)
I bought the Basaak Doll for $12 (cheap than the original right?)
And since I bought it for customizing purposes, I started exploring her and watching tutorials on how to customize Blythe dolls.
I end up, changing her body with Licca doll (Licca was more expensive than the Basaak doll so technically the body is much more expensive than the head..WTH?) (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜
Sanding her face.....
Carving her eyebrows, nose holes and cat lips...
I never got the chance to buy her a new wig or new eye chips because....they are way expensive for a cheap doll head......so yeah.....

Moral of this blog post is to practice first with cheaper dolls before doing it to the actual thing!
You might regret it!

On the side note...I WON'T be customizing Fridart...
Why?
Because I am already head over heels in love with her face up....so why bother? ( ・◇・)?

I'm just planing on giving her new eye chips, new wigs and the sleepy eyes modification!
So look forward to her changes!

OTL I have to save money first to buy her a new wigs and eye chips...(シ_ _)シ

Hair and Body

When Fridart arrived her original hair/wig was sooo frizzy and dirty.... Its probably because the doll was old.
I immediately soaked it on tepid water and applied some conditioner to soften its texture.
While still soaked with conditioner I kept brushing it with a large toothed comb to detangle the wig.
Once the wig is untangled, I  left the hair on the tepid water for a couple of minutes to soften it more.
I followed this  Tutorial: Pullip Hair Care

Now her original wig is not so frizzy and sticky anymore! It kinda soften and smoothed a little but the ends of her hair is too frizzy beyond repair....so yeah....my Fridart desperately needs a new wig.
The previous owner did kindly gave me an extra wig, but I do think red isn't Fridart's color...mint, blue and green are very suited for her especially for her face up!

Fridart is standing strong due to the foams in her body. xP
She has magnets on her feet that is why she can stand very well on flat metal surfaces.

Yeah...I'm still amateur when it comes to photography. lol

Floppy Obitsu

When Fridart, arrived she was soooo floppy! (; ̄Д ̄) Did I mentioned she came with an obitsu body and not the type3 body?
Can't blame her thou, because obitsu bodies wasn't created for big headed dolls, like pullip.
But because obistu bodies are like the coolest body ever when it comes to poseablity, I soooo wanted one, but sadly they aren't that easy to come by here in my country....so when I saw this particular Prunella with an obitsu body along with her....I couldn't help but give in to my urges to buy my first ever pullip!

Prunella is the first pullip doll that I saw on the net and is the one who introduced me to the world of Pullip dolls! So it is only fitting for her to be my first pullip!

     Now back to our dilemma...
Her obitsu body is an SBH Medium bust (really thats medium? Well apparently it is on Japan. lol), white skin tone(the lightest one to match Prunella's skin tone).

So because her obitsu body is so floppy, I just had to have to deflop her so she could at least stand on her own without support!
Of course I'm not that well experience in doll customization, so I needed so great tutorials to do so!
Here are the following links to deflop you obitsu bodies! Hope this helps!
For SBH Obitsu Bodies (soft bust) Links below!

Viola! Fridart's body is now sturdy! ヾ(☆▽☆)

Well I hope this blog post is helpful for other pullip and blythe lovers and of course to the other dolly lovers alike!
